Club Piscine was founded in 1991 in Quebec by Robert Aumont, a seasoned professional in the pool industry since 1967. Inspired by a warehouse-style retail concept he encountered during a trip to Florida, Aumont envisioned a new kind of store that combined pools with a wide range of outdoor accessories.
Montréal-based design studio Caserne reimagined this iconic brand through a visual identity redesign that modernises Club Piscine’s image while honouring its heritage and meeting the expectations of a new generation.

The goal of the redesign was to elevate the perception of product quality and refresh the brand image, all while preserving its essence of warmth, happiness, and family spirit. A key challenge was evolving the brand’s smiling character without reducing it to a simple illustration or emoji, resulting in an identity that is both playful and credible.
The graphic approach balances dynamism and credibility, combining a playful visual language with quality products. A modernised logo, refreshed colour palette, and rounded typography bring a playful touch, while structured grids, thoughtful compositions, contrasting type sizes, and a secondary sans-serif font enhance the brand’s overall perception.
