Drawing inspiration from the former ABK Mol logo elements, a bespoke typeface was crafted to serve as the cornerstone of the academy's visual identity. The primary objective was to create easily recognisable letterforms while appearing new and aesthetically pleasing. The typeface was not confined to a static logo but into a dynamic visual language that extended into all facets of the school's communication.
Each letter of the logo was drawn on a square grid, which informed the construction of the entire typeface. This approach pushes the boundaries of legibility, challenging conventional norms while prioritising legibility as an essential aspect of effective communication. With its adaptability, the resulting typeface ensures that it can be applied by students and teachers across various communication mediums, reflecting the experimental and playful nature underpinning the art school's philosophy. In developing this visual identity, leaving room for experimentation was a key consideration, echoing a core value of the institution.
